Recently I was at the Golden Triangle Quilt guild. Several of the students were using an very interesting tool: The Strip Stick.

This pressing tool, called The Strip Stick, is perfect for strip piecing and makes ironing seams a snap without distorting previously pressed seams.

How does it work?  The fabric is placed over the Strip Stick, as shown here. This helps prevents the distortion of previously pressed seams.

Other uses include pressing blocks with intersecting seams and keeping seams straight. I’ve tried the Strip Stick and it is wonderful tool. I now keep one next to my iron!
